In this post I thought I would share some of the art on display in the Gilgo Beach tunnel located off the Ocean Parkway on Long Island.  In order to get to the beach you must park on the Great South Bay or north side of Ocean Parkway then go through the tunnel (which runs under the Ocean Parkway) to get to the south side or Atlantic Ocean side.  Gilgo is famous for surfing but I thought I would shed a little light on the artwork which is painted on the concrete the whole length of the tunnel.  Some really talented people painted these but its unfortunate some less talented individuals feel the need to start defacing it.  I hope you enjoy this small gallery of artwork.  All images were taken with a Fujifilm X100T camera.
