  1. Very nice shot Joe. The warm rich browns are very pretty. Politically speaking, I know many people get frustrated with all the rhetoric back and forth, but look at the alternative. Would we prefer to live under a dictatorship where that right is taken away from us? I don’t think so. We should count our blessings that we live in a country that gives us that freedom and thank the men an woman who fought and have died to preserve that freedom.

    • Thank you very much Gale for you comments on the image. Politically the alternative could be like Canada, UK, Germany, France, Norway, The Netherlands, Finland and other countries all that are not dictatorships. We need a progressive government like most other places in the world that are not motivated by lobbyists. I’m not being naive and I realize that all governments are somewhat motivated by outside sources but remember every other civilized country has universal health care, child care and guaranteed retirement. I’m sure you might say β€œyes but look how much in taxes they pay”. It is true that other countries taxes are higher but at least they are getting services for the taxes they are paying.

The one thing I did learn from developing friendships around the world after I started blogging is how much Americans are missing out on. Is America a great country β€œYES” but why can’t we be better by taking care of our people a little better.
